The Great Wall Heritage Park project takes the existing Great Wall Museum as a starting point and proposes a revitalization and reinvention of the major tourist viewing area at the historic North Gate of the Great Wall, transformed into a coordinated tourism destination. EDG leadership was responsible for the overall master plan and implementation strategy for the development of this “Great Wall” cultural resort, consisting of a 9,000-sq m repositioned interactive museum, a 20,000-sq m retail and restaurant marketplace, a live-performance theater, a 300-room hotel, additional third-party entertainment destination attractions, and circulation and transportation recommendations.
